\r\n After participating in a meeting organized by students who are part of\r\n the TehnoZ Lightning Bolts team from the Zinca Golescu National College\r\n in Pitesti, it was our turn to host an event dedicated to them. The ten\r\n energetic, intelligent and optimistic youngsters will participate in the\r\n World Robotics Championship (SESI FIRST INTERNATIONAL OPEN – Rio de\r\n Janeiro 2022), and Roweb decided to get involved by\r\n offering sponsorship.<\/a>\r\n <\/p>\r\n

\r\n Beyond the financial support, our team wanted to organize an Open Doors\r\n event, through which these kids had the opportunity to come to the Roweb\r\n headquarters and learn more about our usual activity.\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n Our colleague, Lorena Iordache (HR Manager), presented the story behind\r\n Roweb and quickly captured the students’ attention at the event\r\n precisely because everything started from a passion for technology and\r\n informatics.\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n The Roweb story began during computer classes when a teacher (today, the\r\n company\u2019s CEO \u2013 Viorel Costea) managed to instill a passion\r\n for programming in his students. Later, 3 of them (Gabriel Rosu, Razvan\r\n Veliscu, and Mirel Ionescu) became his partners in a business that was\r\n shaping up in a context in which digital was just a little more than a\r\n rumor.\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n \u201cAs a teacher, I\u2019ve met students with great potential.\r\n It\u2019s one of the privileges of teaching: to see not only what a\r\n student is, but also what he\/she can become someday. Their enthusiasm\r\n and capabilities were definitely an inspiration for me. On the other\r\n hand, I\u2019ve noticed a real potential for creating an IT company on\r\n the market. So, putting these two together, I\u2019ve realized soon\r\n that it would be a real lost opportunity not to involve some of my\r\n (former) students in a bold project.\u201d\r\n <\/p>\r\n

\r\n Thus, by presenting the company’s history, our colleague Lorena\r\n Iordache, HR Manager, wanted to prove to these students how the passion\r\n for programming can materialize later in a rewarding career.\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n
