\nOur team at Roweb is more efficient and productive now because we recently started to use GitHub Copilot. Our development teams have adopted the tool and have already seen great results in productivity and help provided by this modern technology.\n<\/p>\n
Since artificial intelligence took over most industries in the past few years, it slowly started to expand to web development as well. So, we were curious and keen to try out this new technology, implement it in our workflow, and track our performance with it. <\/p>\n
What is GitHub Copilot? <\/b><\/p>\n
GitHub Copilot is an AI-powered coding assistant made by GitHub and OpenAI. It helps you code faster by giving real-time suggestions, auto-completions, and code snippets right in your IDE. Its goal is to help developers become more efficient at writing code and solve issues easier. <\/p>\n
Here are some of the GitHub Copilot benefits:<\/b><\/p>\n
\nSupports multiple programming languages,<\/b> including Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, Ruby, Java, C++, and more.
\nGives you suggestions that are relevant to your work. While you type, Copilot shows coding suggestions<\/b> based on your history in the editor, such as previously used functions, variable names, syntax, comments, and prompts.
\nAllows you to edit and make changes across multiple files<\/b> at once.
\nGenerates code snippets<\/b> based on your custom requirements.
\nFixes bugs and code errors.<\/b> Just ask the editor to check the code you wrote, and it will fix bugs and mistakes before you review it manually.
\nIntegrates with third-party tools and services.<\/b> It provides a library of existing extensions (such as Docker, Stack Overflow, Microsoft Teams, and Perplexity), but you can create your own extension, too.
\nConverts code from one language to another<\/b> so you don\u2019t have to do it manually.

When we made the decision, we had in mind that it was time to embrace the technology of the moment in our development efforts.
\nThe technology of the moment is, of course, artificial intelligence. We considered that it could turn out to be beneficial to both our company and clients in the long run.

How using GitHub Copilot impacted the company<\/b><\/p>\n
\nSoon after introducing the tool in our teams, here\u2019s how it improved our work:
\nFirst, it increased our productivity<\/b>. We are now able to do more in less time, which is already a success.
\nIncreased productivity and less time translate into lower costs for our clients<\/b>. So, it\u2019s not only our team that benefits from using Copilot, but our clients also have a win in this.
\nSince we spend less time coding, we have the chance to spend our spare time innovating our services<\/b>. This way, our clients can benefit more from working with us by getting better products<\/b> that align with today\u2019s needs and requirements.
