The recent move to a new, modern, and customized office marks a defining moment in the history of Roweb\u2019s Craiova team. It\u2019s a transition that speaks about years of purely organic growth, the strengthening of an authentic team culture, and the maturity of a branch that has evolved alongside its people.<\/p>\n
To discover the full story behind this evolution, we talked to Florin Obogeanu, Director of the Craiova office \u2014 the person who has been both a witness and a driving force behind this development.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n The Roweb Craiova story began around 2014, in an unofficial yet energetic context. After several months of working remotely, Florin \u2014 tired of working from home \u2014 decided together with two friends to rent their first physical workspace: an apartment.<\/p>\n Far from being a conventional office, the space was improvised but full of life. In that informal environment, however, the foundation of a solid management structure was laid. Florin handled the organizational aspects, internet setup, and team management \u2014 all while continuing to code.<\/p>\n Soon, the team grew to 7\u20138 members, and that initial collaboration spirit evolved into a genuine community.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n As the team expanded, so did the office space:<\/p>\n First move<\/strong> \u2013 a small \u201cofficial\u201d office right across from the current headquarters, where the team stayed for almost two years.<\/p>\n Second move<\/strong> \u2013 a larger and more charming office in the Old Town, where the team quickly grew to over 10 people.<\/p>\n The growth was purely organic. There were no aggressive hiring campaigns \u2014 the focus was on personal connections and paid internship programs run in collaboration with the Faculty of Automation and Computers. Every year, hundreds of students came to learn, and many stayed \u2014 becoming long-term colleagues.<\/p>\n The result? An impressive retention rate: over 50% of the current Craiova team members started their careers at Roweb, and many have been with the company for five, six, or even ten years.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The recent move marks a new chapter. Although the Old Town office had a great location, it no longer met the quality and safety standards the company had set for itself.<\/p>\n The new space \u2014 completely designed and built from scratch \u2014 was created to comply with ISO 27001 security and management standards, while also providing a modern, bright, and comfortable environment adapted to the team\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n Today, the office hosts around 30 people and provides the perfect setting for internal events, training sessions, and open-door activities for students \u2014 initiatives that strengthen Roweb\u2019s connection with the academic environment and the local community.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The atmosphere in Roweb Craiova reflects the same core values that define the entire company: balance, trust, and authentic collaboration. A key aspect is face-to-face interaction. \u201cIt\u2019s always better when we work together in person,<\/em>\u201d says Florin. That\u2019s why the company prefers new colleagues to be from Craiova or Pite\u0219ti, even if they come to the office only once a week. This human connection makes all the difference \u2014 in interviews, in collaboration, and, most importantly, in the sense of belonging.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n For Florin and his team, the move isn\u2019t just a logistical change \u2014 it\u2019s a confirmation of a philosophy: sustainable growth is built on people, not spaces.<\/p>\n \u201cWe believe we\u2019re among the best when it comes to retention<\/em>,\u201d he says smiling. \u201cMore than half of the team is at their first job and chose to stay.
