OUR CLIENT

RenderThat connects businesses and 3D designers worldwide within the first global marketplace for illustration, 3D model, rendering and animation, each category including four sub-categories. It's a contest-hosting platform which allows businesses to access a wellspring of talent worldwide, based on a crowdsourcing model. Businesses in need of rendering services post design briefs identifying their needs, upload any necessary files and wait for the designers' submissions to roll in.

From the designers' perspective, contests hosted on RenderThat provide compensation not only to the winning designer, but to the second and third runners-up. In addition, the site's founders plan to add a number of free educational and reference services to the platform, including tutorials and an online texture resource library, available to all registered users.

CLIENT'S NEED

The client needed to have their existing website redesigned and extend its functionalities with new modules, to enable multiple types of project launches, rating systems, a press section, case studies section, FAQ and video tutorials, as well as multiple types of contact forms - for feedback, warranty inquiries etc.

SOLUTION

We redesigned the website within a month, with an eye-catching layout and improved navigation experience for both categories of users - designers and businesses - that need to launch projects.

We enabled the clients to choose between three types of project launch:

  • The client submits a designer brief for which any designer can apply, then designates a winner and a second and third runner-up. The winner is compensated for delivering the best solution, but the two runners-up are also rewarded with an amount established by the client or by RenderThat, if the client chooses so
  • The client browses designer portfolios and selects a particular designer to whom they submit the brief
  • The client launches their project in three stages: any designer can apply for the first stage of the brief, then the client designates the three best designers, who enter the second stage of the contest, after which the winner finishes the project
