Roweb at MWC Barcelona 2026

The first week of March took our team to MWC Barcelona 2026‚ one of the world’s largest trade shows for the tech sector․ The event brings together companies from across the global tech industry, from telecom operators and infrastructure providers to software companies, startups and investors.

For a few days‚ Barcelona is the world center for much of the technology ecosystem‚ with exhibition halls full of products‚ demos‚ and companies meeting․ Exhibition halls are full of product demonstrations and conversations between companies, while the conference program focuses on how digital technologies are changing the way businesses operate.

What people were talking about this year

Artificial intelligence was probably the most visible topic throughout the event. Many of the companies present showed how AI is gradually becoming part of everyday software products, especially in areas such as automation, analytics and customer-facing tools.

Connectivity was another focus‚ and since the event’s origin as a mobile-focused event‚ 5G and other future networks were a common topic․ This year‚ however‚ the emphasis was less on the technology itself‚ and more on the services and applications that will be possible with better connectivity․

There were also many discussions around cloud platforms, cybersecurity and edge computing, which increasingly form the infrastructure behind modern digital services.

The Romania Pavilion

Roweb attended the event inside the Romania Pavilion‚ along with other Romanian technology companies․ The Romania Pavilion was a point of interest for the event visitors who were interested in the Romanian software development ecosystem․

During this time‚ the pavilion was visited by the Consul of Romania‚ who stopped to visit the companies and to inquire about their activity and international collaboration․

Meeting partners

Often‚ these industry events are less about what you see‚ and more about who you see․

The Roweb team was happy to have the chance to meet again face to face with a few of our clients. It was a good opportunity to exchange information‚ update on our partnership and opportunities for collaboration in the near future․

These types of conversations are often the most valuable outcome of events like Mobile World Congress. They give partners the chance to meet face to face, something that is still surprisingly important even in an industry built on digital communication.

A few days inside the global tech industry

With thousands of companies present and visitors arriving from all over the world, MWC Barcelona continues to be one of the main meeting places for the international technology community.

For the Roweb team, the event offered a chance to see what other companies are building, reconnect with partners and spend a few days immersed in the broader technology ecosystem. Conversations started here will likely continue long after the event itself has ended.

What Roweb presented at MWC Barcelona

During the event, the Roweb team introduced visitors at the Romania Pavilion to several of the company’s core capabilities in custom software development and enterprise digital solutions.

Discussions with visitors focused on the types of projects Roweb typically delivers for international clients, including enterprise platforms, complex web applications, and software systems designed to support large operational workflows.

Many conversations at the stand revolved around how companies today are looking to modernize existing systems rather than replace them completely. In this context, Roweb’s experience in integrating new technologies into established platforms attracted interest from organizations exploring gradual digital transformation.

Roweb’s areas of expertise

Visitors stopping by the stand were particularly interested in Roweb’s experience across several technology areas, including:

  • Custom enterprise software development for complex business environments
  • AI-powered solutions and automation, integrated into existing digital platforms
  • Enterprise application development and system integration
  • E-commerce and digital platforms for scalable online businesses
  • Industry-specific solutions developed for sectors such as real estate, travel, HR and logistics

These discussions often started with general questions about capabilities but quickly moved toward specific business challenges companies are currently facing.

Conversations that may lead to future collaborations

Events like Mobile World Congress often open the door to conversations that continue long after the event itself. For the Roweb team, the days spent in Barcelona were filled with discussions with companies interested in exploring new partnerships or learning more about how Romanian software teams collaborate with international clients.
